Bass1957 Fender Precision Bass

Blonde, refin to original color, with photos of original owner AND its previous owner Tom Petersson of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Cheap Trick (and Willie’s favorite band).

1957 is a transitional year for the P-bass as mid year they switched to the now famous split coil pickup (hum cancelling) and added the anodized aluminum pickguard (in a way this was also hum cancelling). These early pickups have a raised A polepiece. That fact and the wide maple neck have a tone that no other year has. This makes the ’57 very unique. Once you’ve heard one you’ll never forget.

The details: Refin body and neck aged by Bill Nash, new repro logo and one knob changed. White custom shop case. Otherwise this is a stock pickup, wood and pickguard. We’ll include a photo of Tom Petersson on stage doing Sergeant Peppers in Las Vegas playing this bass.

A very cool piece of rock history on two levels. If you stop in and try it, take a photo with it. But warning: It does not come with a defibrilator so you are on your own when you plug it in. $11,000 On Hold
