[u]Willie's 20th Anniversary Party at the Cabooze 9-9-09![/u]

Raffles all night long! Get a raffle ticket with every paid ticket. Pre-paid tickets just show your ticket at the raffle booth. One ticket per customer. Items raffled every 15 minutes starting at 8pm. We hope that every one in 10 or 12 people will win a prize. Prizes include: CD’s, swag from CF Martin, Fender, Guild, Gretsch, Paul Reed Smith, some vintage items will be included.
Gene Autry’s hand tailored suit

We will have on display at the store and at the party a hand tailored suit from the estate of Gene Autry. Along with the suit are two Gene Autry 33 1/3 vinyl records. The coat is about a size 44 with matching trousers with cowboy pockets. The pants appear to be a 36 with a 30 inseam. The suit was made by Beverly Hills tailor Artaglia Bros. Ltd.

Gene Autry was born in 1907 and recorded many successful cowboy songs in the 30’s. A huge star in the 30’s and 40’s he was voted America’s favorite cowboy in 1937. In all Gene made 93 feature films many based around hit records. Gene co-wrote over 300 songs including some of the most famous Christmas music of our time: "Here Comes Santa Claus", Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer" and "Frosty the Snowman".

Willie got two suits from a friend in Beverly Hills and a letter of provenance comes with it. Willie is keeping a smoking jacket that he will wear that night.

The Gene Autry raffle tickets will cost $2 each and all proceeds will be split between two charities Springboard for the Arts Artists’ Access to Healthcare and Brianna’s Gift helping kids with cancer through the arts. The winner of the suit will be selected at midnight the night of the party. The winner need not be present. If the ticket selected is illegible and we can’t read the contact information we will select another winner. This is kind of a fun little highlighting the Americana vibe of the night and our two charities that will be present that night at the Cabooze.
